This car is approaching the UN traffic post in the upper middle of the picture, a good city block away from the entrance to the St. Bernadette sports complex. this UN post is in no way able to see anything of the sports complex. Eyewitnesses have given the story that the police coming from the police station north of the complex on the main highway lied to the UN soldiers saying that they were going to the soccer game to quell a fracas and that they would call for "backup" if needed. Whether the shots that were fired by the police during the massacre could have been heard by the UN troops is another question to be answered in the ongoing investigation.
